FAQ for the ENTRIES FOR AWARD (i-Proclaim ABA-2018)
What books are eligible for consideration?
Books (including self-published works) first published or succeeding edition.
All entries must be made available for purchase by the general public in either hardcover or bound paperback book form or e-Book.
Must the publisher make the entry?
No, anyone (including the author) may submit a book that is eligible.
Is there an individual or organizational submission limit?
No. An individual or organization is free to make as many submissions of eligible material as they wish.
Are graphic/comic-based works eligible?
Yes, as long as they meet the aforementioned criteria. Graphic adaptations of preexisting literary works are ineligible.
Are translations or edited anthologies eligible?
Translations and edited anthologies are currently eligible.
Do you accept books that are self-published via such services As Lulu or CreateSpace?
Yes, as long as they meet the aforementioned criteria.
Is it possible to enter a revised edition of a previously published work even if it wasn't previously entered?
Yes. The competition is not limited to books first published or published in 2018.
What are the entry procedures?
Complete the online entry form and pay non-refundable $53.50 entry fee by PayPal/credit card.
Can hard copy of books be sent after the application is complete online?
No, you do not need to send books (published print hard copy), only complete the online form.
I am not computer-literate. May I send a check and an old copy of the paper entry form in lieu of completing the online entry form?
Due to internal i-Proclaim procedures, we are currently unable to accept paper checks. Accordingly, please use the online entry form if at all possible. We are happy to guide you through the process if you contact us.
When the announcement of the award publicly declared?
The Prize winners and nominated finalists are announced during the August.
